I auditioned today for a “way off” Broadway role. My audience was 15 students, a teacher, the Department Chair, the AP, and the Principal. Apparently, they take this hiring stuff seriously here. I had to pretend I was an Algebra teacher showing how to solve equations with variables on both sides. I got the gig. I will fill in for a teacher on maternity leave starting Monday. I’m scheduled to do this until April 15 so yea, my retirement is on hold. The venue is Ridgefield Park MS/HS located on Ozzie Nelson Dr. Yes, THAT Ozzie Nelson. Before he became famous, he played a student and football player at the high school.
